Buttercream Wafers
We attempted to make a large version of these. While less tedious, it was much less tasty.
Dough:
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups all purpouse flour, sifted
Filling:
- ½ cup butter
- 1.2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- food coloring, if desired
Instructions:
Roll out softened butter, heavy whipping cream, and flour 1/8 inch thick on floured board.
Cut with small, round cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, prick with a fork.
Bake 10 mintues at 375F
Mix together filling incredients, beat until fluffy.
Make tiny sandwiches out of the cookies, with the filling in the middle.
