Buttercream Wafers

We attempted to make a large version of these. While less tedious, it was much less tasty.


Dough:

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups all purpouse flour, sifted

Filling:

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1.2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • food coloring, if desired

Instructions:

  1. Roll out softened butter, heavy whipping cream, and flour 1/8 inch thick on floured board.

  2. Cut with small, round cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, prick with a fork.

  3. Bake 10 mintues at 375F

  4. Mix together filling incredients, beat until fluffy.

  5. Make tiny sandwiches out of the cookies, with the filling in the middle.
