Annatto Oil

Used in the Lomo Saltado and Col Saltado recipes.


Ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Teaspoons annatto seeds (also known as achiote seeds)

Instructions:

Cook the oil and annatto seeds over low heat until oil is bright red-orange, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Strain oil and discard seeds.
